Setting A Fun Oval Dining Table - Are You Up For it?Whether you are preparing a Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner, or just a get together with friends why not mix it up a little a set a fun oval dining table? An oval table is one of the easiest to set. There are no corners to worry about and everything flows nicely. Tablecloths are easy to find and your center piece always looks great. Your biggest problem will be having enough room to place all your dishes on the table. Sometimes it works better if you set your food up buffet style for delivery leaving the table free of all the clutter. Mixing and matching looks great on an oval table. The trick is to never take yourself seriously and always plan to have fun. Use all the different china, silverware, and serving dishes you have. Let your creative juices flow and decide how you can make it look great. Try to be different and see how much fun you can have with table. A fun table will lead to a relaxing atmosphere and a fun time with your guests. And I really do mean think fun! How about appetizers on sterling silver plates or your favorite desert served in martini glasses? Perhaps glass plates for the main course or your best china. You are limited only by your imagination. The size of your oval table will determine how many people can be seated. If you have more guests than seating room you can always seat other guests at folding tables or TV trays. If your dining area is large enough you can seat everyone in the room. If you need to spread people out then make sure the environment remains cozy and relaxed and that no-one feels isolated or left out. Unity is very important! Just because it's a holiday get together it doesn't mean it has to be formal. In fact that's all the more reason to have some fun with it and liven up things. You can create a theme if you like. In fact it's a lot of fun and it's a great way to get people interacting. Thanksgiving dinner - How about a vibrant and lively turkey platter adorned with pumpkins and turkeys. Or how about vibrant orange serving bowls. Why not have some fun with your salt and pepper shakers. Turkeys anyone? Christmas dinner - think red. Red bowls, Santa plates, or how about those crazy reindeer? Add star candle holders, perhaps some pine cones, and don't forget to use your imagination on the napkin holders. Summer get together? How about some Hawaii fine? Hibiscus napkins, palm tree plates. Or perhaps it's a poker party? What ever your theme simply tie your setting to it. You get the idea? Make your oval dining table is a place to remember. A place where good friends and family have a great time enjoying fine conversation and food. They'll keep coming back for more.
